I'm so motivated right now that I wish I could just get up and go to the gym. But that's not going to happen. I'm way too sick to do pretty much anything. I couldn't go to work today, which I feel awful about, but they wouldn't have been very happy with my tissues and raspy voice.
The reason I'm so motivated right now is because I'm watching Shedding for the Wedding. Seeing these couples work so hard and showing so much progress makes me want to do the same. I really want to lose the weight and feel good about the way I look. Plus, I really want that victoria's secret bikini! haha. I want to feel healthy though, too. I want to be able to walk to my classes and never get out of breath and not feel tired as often.
I need to feel better by Monday so I can get back to working out. I feel great (usually, unless I'm sick) after I work out so I really want to go.
Let's hope I keep this motivation and hope I feel better by then. I only have about 7 weeks to go so I really need work hard to get the results I want. Help keep me motivated!

One of the best ways to remain motivated in achieving a goal is through proper visulalization of that goal. For example, think of yourself now, as already being the person you want to be. Ergo, thiner, lighter, more energetic etc. In this way you can feel confident that the goal is attainable, and not something of reach. Also set short term goals along the way. That way your ultimate goal dosen't seem too far off. Then all you have to do is take the necessary steps in order to accomplish your goal.
ReplyDeleteIf you goal is to lose weight keep these things in mind. You can healthfully lose up to two to three pounds a week. You may also find that you will burn off more pounds when you intially begin, about 7 or 8 per week. But fewer as time goes on. Don't be discouraged by that. The majority of the weight you lost early on was water weight, later on body fat will burn off more slowly, about 2 to 3 pounds per week. Keep in mind aswell that for the best results in the quickest time. Diet and exercise are a crucial combination. Exercise won't negate bad dietary choices. Many people make this mistake when beinging an exercise regimen.
Remember that being healthy is a lifestyle. I see you plan to work hard for 7 weeks. But even if you achieve or even surpass your goal in that time, don't stop. If you remain consistant in your exercise and diet regimen you will find your results lasting, rather than temporary.
With these things in mind, you should hopefully have a more realistic idea of what your weekly goals should be as you work toward your ultimate goal. I understad that your medical condition makes it difficult to lose weight, but it dosen't make it impossible. Never get discouraged, keep your eye on the dream not the opposition and best of luck to you.
Let me know if this was helpful and I'll post some diet and exercise tips you might consider, later on.
